The creators of ACC, Carol Israel and Michael Needle, moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in the mid 1980’s. They brought their knowledge of furniture and impeccable taste and opened ACC. They created a store focusing on Shaker style reproductions and hand-picked country antiques acquired in the U.S. and Canada. These simple but lovely forms worked with the casual style of the Southwest. Soon, visitors from all over the country started shopping at American Country Collection and shipping their finds back home.
