My friend is now a food writer/restaurant reviewer in New York and I took the restaurant challenge. For fifteen years my now-ex husband and I had a great time running an innovative-for-the-time restaurant called Periscope in Santa Fe. We wrote out the menu every day - because the menu changed every day - and we made food from all over the world. Santa Fe didn't know what hit it. We served five lunches and one price-fixed dinner a week, and we still managed to work some really long hours.
