| The Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons was established by the New Mexico Legislature in 1991 (Laws 1991, Chapter 72) with seven members drawn from the community and agencies serving the community. It is the mission of the New Mexico Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons to create awareness of, and to provide advocacy and ensure equal accessibility for deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing persons in the State of New Mexico. |
